After having said all of the above our resident Engineer Alaster Goyns could assess anything relating to a pipe and we would submit a report as Alaster would peruse the video footage and all collected data as well as site visits.

Uncle Alaster adds an element of wisdom to any report, his career started in 1972 after he qualified as a civil engineer and has become the foremost expert in pipe rehabilitation and condition assessment in Southern Africa and is well respected as a humble guru in the industry world wide. His knowledge of these sort of requests makes all of us look clever – for instance just by looking at a site he can tell you if the pipes had dolomitic or Silicate aggregate, he will tell you the age of the pipes and the history of who put them in and how they were installed. Lay of the land even without our technology and simple logic he can assist. Alaster is extremely busy and does not need the work so we need to book him well in advance for a site visit. If he is not available we do have a few other experts but is our first choice on any such inspection, or just use your own Engineer.
