Transform Old, Broken, and Defective Pipes with Pipe Relining – No Digging Required!
How can broken pipes be repaired without the need for excavation? The solution lies in trenchless technology known as pipe relining, a method that involves absolutely no digging!
Gravity Pipe Relining is a trenchless rehabilitation technique used to repair and reinforce underground gravity sewer pipes. This process involves inserting a flexible liner coated with resin into the existing pipe. The liner is then inflated, allowing the resin to bond to the inner surface of the pipe. Once cured, the liner forms a new, durable layer that enhances the structural integrity of the gravity pipe. This method reduces the need for traditional excavation, minimizes disruption, is cost-effective, and significantly extends the lifespan of the sewer system.
This innovative and environmentally-friendly pipe repair technology makes it possible for broken pipes to be repaired from the inside, without the need to dig at all.
Known as trenchless repair, old pipes (or their remnants) are usually left in place while a new pipe is simply formed or pulled inside. With no need to excavate, trenchless relining usually gives clients a more cost-effective and convenient solution.
Our pipe relining methods are tailored to suit each unique repair.
PIPE RELINING CAN REPAIR THE FOLLOWING:
The primary advantage of choosing pipe relining is to avoid the costly and disruptive process of replacing broken pipes or entire pipe systems. Before initiating pipe relining, Orsco conducts a thorough CCTV pipe inspection using specialized cameras. This inspection enables our pipe relining specialists to assess the condition of the pipes and determine whether pipe relining is the most suitable solution or if alternative methods should be considered.
Orsco (Pty) LTD uses Nu Flow has patented its pull-in-place structural lining process along with its epoxy coating system. The easiest way to determine which process is used for a particular project or scope would be by breaking the piping systems into two categories, pressurized and non-pressurized piping systems.
Because Orsco (Pty) LTD has the unique ability to fix both pressurized piping systems and non-pressurized piping systems using existing access points, Orsco (Pty) LTD offers the most viable and least disruptive option for pipe renewal.
Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining represents a trenchless rehabilitation and restoration method employed in repairing existing pipes. This technique utilizes a textile liner tube and a liquid resin.
The process commences with the wet-out stage, where the textile liner gets impregnated with the resin mixture, consisting of an epoxy base with a pre-determined hardener. Subsequently, the liner is inverted into the pipe using air pressure, positioning the resin on the outside against the existing host pipe wall.
Following inversion or pull-in-place (PIP), the liner is inflated and allowed to dry, employing methods such as ambient, hot water, or steam curing. Throughout this period, the curing agent activates the resin, causing it to harden and resulting in a snug, smooth, and corrosion-resistant new pipe wall.
If needed, a robotic cutting device or chain sling may be introduced into the newly lined pipe to reinstate any branch line connections.
To determine the appropriate process for a specific project or scope, categorizing piping systems into pressurized and non-pressurized systems is the most straightforward approach.
UV Pipe Relining (Cured in Place Pipe) is the modern no-dig evolution of traditional pipe relining services. Where conventional methods use heat with water and steam, UV cured pipe repair utilises ultraviolet light to cure the resin inside the liner.
Efficient, Effective, and Reliable combined with Increased Productivity.
Minimise site establishment and prep time with our prepacked liners which cure in under 20 minutes.
BENEFITS
UV ACTIVATED RESIN – 20 MINUTE CURE TIME
A lined pipe can be ready to use again in 1-3 hours from start to finish (dependent on pipeline distance)
This dramatically shortens the time required to rehab piping, which means less downtime in local services for residents.
PRE-IMPREGNATED LINERS – NO MORE MIXING RESINS ON SITE
UV requires less equipment, so site set-up and take-down is quick, making it especially suitable for busy locations like roads, railways, airports, or for sites where there is limited room to move.
GLASS FIBER REINFORCED LINER – 90 DEGREE BENDS & LATERAL CONNECTIONS
Tough, strong and durable lining which dramatically increases the life span of the pipe.
The texture of the liner improves flow efficiency.
GLASS REINFORCED LINER. ALLOWING FOR MUTLI-SIZED PIPELINE REHABILITATION
